Stephanie E. Veith, CPA

Getting to know Steph, the tax lady!

Stephanie E. Veith, CPA is a credentialed independent certified public accountant, business consultant, and tax accountant. She is a MN notary public, a member of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce and a former chamber ambassador. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the MN Society of CPAs. Stephanie serves as a volunteer on the St. Mathias Park Board of Directors, and acts as an elected officer and Treasurer. She is a technology and innovation leader and a proadvisor and consultant for Quickbooks and Tsheets.

She is a trusted business and tax advisor with specialties in small business, and nonprofit consulting and tax advising, as well as individual tax consulting, compliance reporting and planning. Other client tailored services include annual, monthly, or quarterly reporting services, small business payroll services, and various types of business and consulting engagements, and bookkeeping and technology advising services.

She enjoys working with people and connects annually with many various types of businesses and individuals to assist them with their various tax related needs. She is a trusted solutions specialist, able to thoroughly identify and trouble shoot problems and concerns you may have and assist you in finding a resolution. Whether it be if she connects with you just once a year regarding an annual tax compliance return, or when providing you weekly payroll calculations, or with you on any number of other more complex business consultation and planning issues, she values the relationship she has with each of her clients and the role she can provide in her neighborhood and community.

Stephanie graduated as valedictorian from Onamia High School in 2000. In 2003, with high cum laude honors, she graduated from Central Lakes College with an Associate in Arts degree. In 2005, with high cum laude honors and as a beta gamma sigma business and management inductee, she graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, in Accountancy. In 2012, Stephanie continued her education to be able to better assist clients, and completed her certified financial planning professional education program from the College for Financial Planning. Each year, Stephanie completes over 100 additional hours of qualified continuing professional education needed to stay current with changes and to maintain her license to practice as a CPA.

Stephanie has nearly 20 years experience providing tax services to the public as a tax consultant and advisor and preparer. Before that, she had worked for a number of years gaining bookkeeping, customer service and management experience, while she was attending school, but had only dabbled with the preparation of tax returns on a limited basis, and just for her friends and family. 😊 Stephanie worked for many years in the tax department of a large MN CPA firm and some seasonal audit engagements of state and local government entities. Stephanie also worked for a number of years with her mother-in-law Carol, as a key tax and technology advisor and to help offer a succession plan solution option for Carol’s clients upon her retirement. In 2014, Stephanie transitioned over to personalized independent tax and consulting work for individuals and small businesses.

Steph lives less than a mile away from the office with her husband Tim and their three-legged dog Lucy and sweet pup Liggi. There are very few moments for “fun”, outside of work, in between client work responsibilities and deadlines and reading accounting publications to keep up with changes! But Steph does enjoy cracking subtle jokes and admiring all of the ironies and satires that the world has to offer. From time to time you may also find her playing on and managing various softball and volleyball teams and leagues. She LOVES attending Rock-n-Roll music festivals and concerts, being active outdoors walking with her pups, exploring the woods for mushrooms, hunting, boating, fishing, or watching baseball and spending time with friends and family.
